Commodore 64 is back

Have you ever heard of a single PC model enjoying 30-40% market share. Have you ever heard of a single PC model having more than 15 millions units sold that too at a time when majority of world population doesn’t even know what a PC can do. If you know what I am talking about, how do you feel if the maker of the model is going to bring back the model to please the loyals.


Commode 64 is the best selling PC model of all time. At a time when IBM and Apple dominated the PC market, C64 took the world by storm and the storm lasted a good half a decade. The C64 was powered by 8-bit 1MHz processor and had 64kB of RAM. Here is how it looked like:

28 years later, Commodore is bringing out a new C64 that looks just like the original. Commodore retained the same mechanical keys, same casing and has all modern day ports. Powered by Intel dual core Atom 525, the new C64 is not as revolutionary as the original but can be the VFM PC for geeks.
